·      working at home
·      Burr calls
·      Ellie: What happened when you were bad
·      coal & sticks

·      Ellie waits
·      naughty & nice
·      what will Santa do?

·      weather’s been stormy
·      juncos & chickadees hide in evergreens
·      cardinals really red against the snow
·      squirrels curl up in lofty nests
·      deer bed down under forest cover
·      plows scrape the roads
·      snow blowers wake the neighborhoods
·      salt melts sidewalk ice

·      Christmas cards are sent (or not)
·      family members travel (or not)
·      trees are decorated (or not)
·      Moms & Dads shop & wrap (or not)
·      grandparents bake (or not)

·      the end of Advent 2007
·      chilldren like Ellie imagine Santa
·      the hustle & bustle’s almost over
·      we wait
·      we wait in the still of our hearts
·      we wait alone and together
·      we wait
·      we wait … for the prince of peace
